When I made the decision to start a new business, the first thing I did was look around Facebook to find those who were already successful entrepreneurs. I also wanted to learn more about the art of wreath making and painting. Most of the people I am going to talk about won’t know who I am but they have made an impact on me during these last couple of months.

The first person I found was Nick Kreticos with Nick’s Seasonal Décor. I have really enjoyed learning by watching Nick on how to use floral and greenery in my designs. This does not come naturally for me and I tend to overthink what I am doing. I find watching Nick very calming and although he is younger than both my children, I believe, he is a very good teacher.
From what I remember, I believe it was one of Nick’s videos which led me to Damon Oates with Deco Exchange and Julie Siomacco. Both Damon and Julie are incredibly successful. Both started out making wreaths but have transformed into business coaches and mentors. I have joined their private wreath making and business mentor groups. I have of course learned more about making all kinds of wreaths but I have also learned about the business of owning a creative business. The technology and social media is all new from a business perspective but I have enjoyed the new challenge.
I am sure my girls are rolling their eyes about now reading this since they have both heard me yelling at the computer screen but I am determined.
There are so many more creators and designers that I have been watching including:
Clara-Nicole with Clara-Nicole She’s Crafty Too
Lauren Simmons with Beautiful Mesh
Dawn Divinny-Johnson with Coastal Dreaming
I also have been listing to Jennifer Allwood’s podcast during my drive to and from work. She is a next level business coach, I am not there yet, but I have really enjoyed the podcast.
As I continue to share as I find new mentor and creators. I hope you enjoy watching and listening to them as much as I have.
Cindy
